Wisconsin Mural Project Complete

Oceanside, CA May 21, 2011 In only 10-days, Taylor Gallegos completes mural on the east wall of the Wisconsin Market Building, 608 Wisconsin Street.  The new mural reflects the diverse community that is Oceanside from the perspective of Wisconsin Street’s famous strand access point. Absolutely beautiful! Taylor is definitely making his mark in the San Diego art scene.

Taylor Gallegos has been exhibited in solo and group shows in art galleries and businesses throughout the western United States and abroad. His work is in public and private collections from Hawai’i to New York City, with hundreds of originals and commissions already cherished. In recent years, Gallegos has been extending his work off the canvas into the realms of large scale murals, Surfboards, and live painting at public venues for shows and events. His work can be found on his website TaylorGallegos.com or on his business page, TayloredARTS Inc. on Facebook.

Taylor has always loved, created and studied art—drawing every dinosaur, superhero and athlete he admired since he was a three-year-old in Boulder, Colorado. Gallegos attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with a double concentration in both Painting and Drawing. To expand on his formal education and artistic practice, he went abroad in 2004 to study, paint and draw in Castiglion Fiorentino, Italy. Since then Gallegos has worked in art galleries, studios and custom frame shops, developing his understanding of the professional art world. Taylor Gallegos now lives and creates in Oceanside, California.
